What age group does NU Pathways Recovery serve?NU Pathways Recovery serves adults from 18 - 65 years old.

Do you accept insurances?NU Pathways Recovery accepts some TNCare, Medicard & private insurances.

Can a client be self-pay at NU Pathways Recovery?Yes, self-pay is welcomed.

What services do you offer?We offer psychiatric medication management, non-residential alcohol and drug rehab (Vivitrol only), group therapies and urine drug screenings.

Are mental health professionals trained to work with diverse cultures, races and ethnicities?Yes, we have ongoing training in these area as well as partners in these areas.

What about other mental health services that may be needed by a client?NU Pathways Recovery has a very robust referral system for other services that may not be offered on campus.

Do you need to have a primary care provider (PCP) to attend NU Pathways Recovery?It is preferred that all clients have a PCP, but we know that is not always the case so NPR has a home health nurse practitioner who may provide a medical service as needed and we also have PCP's that we refer you to below. What if I rather not talk to a medical doctor about my mental health. What other options are there?It is important to know that some people recover from mental health conditions without use of medical treatment. However, it is also possible that some disorders, or the severity of a disorder, may require medical intervention. Psychotherapy and medical intervention are also an effective approach.

What medication options are there?Medication options will be individually determined using pharmacogenetics-the branch of pharmacology concerned with the effects of genetic factors on reactions to mental health medication.
